Terms of Service

HangarGrid — Your Aircraft. Your Records. Your Control.

Effective Date: 1 November 2026
Last Updated: 1 November 2026
Website: https://hangargrid.com

1. About These Terms

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of HangarGrid, including the website at hangargrid.com and every feature offered through it (together, the "Services").

By creating an account or using the Services, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Services.

2. Who Operates HangarGrid

HangarGrid is a personal initiative independently developed and operated by Karan Dubey, an individual based in India. It has not been incorporated as a company.

In these Terms, "HangarGrid," "we," "our," and "us" refer to the individual operating the Services. If HangarGrid is later operated by a company, these Terms will be updated and you will be told.

3. Who Can Use HangarGrid

You must be 18 years or older to create an account or use the Services.

By creating an account, you confirm that you are at least 18 and able to enter into a binding agreement under the laws that apply to you.

4. Your Account

  • You sign in with a one-time code sent to your email address (or another sign-in method we offer). Keep access to that email account secure.
  • You are responsible for activity on your account. Tell us promptly at compliance@hangargrid.com if you believe someone else has accessed it.
  • Give accurate information, and keep your email address current so sign-in codes reach you.
  • One person per account. Do not share or sell accounts.

5. What HangarGrid Provides

HangarGrid helps radio-controlled (RC) model aircraft pilots keep records: aircraft and their configurations, build plans, flights, maintenance, reminders, weather for flying fields, wishlists, shareable aircraft passports, a marketplace for listings, messages between pilots, and a blog.

The Services are currently offered free of charge. If we introduce paid features, we will describe them and their prices before you are asked to pay, and nothing already free will start charging without notice.

We may add, change, or remove features as HangarGrid develops. We will give reasonable notice before removing a feature that you rely on to keep your records.

6. Safety: You Are the Pilot in Command

HangarGrid is a record-keeping tool. It does not certify that any aircraft is safe or airworthy.

  • Statuses such as "Flight ready," "Checks pending," and "No fly," condition scores, checklists, reminders, servo layouts, and weather summaries are based on information entered by users and on third-party data. They may be incomplete or wrong.
  • The decision to fly is always yours. Inspect your aircraft, batteries, radio, and field conditions yourself before every flight.
  • Follow the laws, airspace rules, and club and field rules that apply where you fly, including any drone or model-aircraft regulations.
  • Do not rely on HangarGrid in place of a manufacturer's instructions, qualified advice, or your own judgement.

7. The Product Catalogue

The catalogue of aircraft, engines, motors, servos, radios, and other products, and its figures (such as wingspan, weight, engine size, CG, and servo counts), is gathered from manufacturer publications, imports, and contributions. Figures marked as unverified have not been checked by us.

Catalogue information is provided for convenience only. Always confirm critical figures, especially CG and engine size, against the manufacturer's current documentation.

8. Your Content

"Your Content" means everything you add to HangarGrid: aircraft, records, photos, documents, listings, messages, comments, and profile details.

  • You own Your Content. We do not claim ownership of it.
  • You give us a limited, worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free permission to store, back up, process, and display Your Content only as needed to run the Services for you, and to show it to others in the ways you choose (for example, a public passport, a marketplace listing, a message, or a blog comment).
  • This permission ends when you delete the content or your account, except for copies in backups for a limited period, and except for content you have already shared with other users, such as messages they have received.
  • If you add a product to the shared catalogue, you allow it to remain available to other pilots after you leave, with your name removed.
  • You confirm that you have the right to upload Your Content, including photos, and that it does not infringe anyone else's rights or include another person's personal information without their permission.

Your records are private by default. Nothing becomes public unless you choose to share it.

9. Sharing, Messages, Blog Comments, and Pilot Pages

  • When you share a passport or publish a listing, the fields you choose can be seen by anyone with the link.
  • Messages are visible to the pilots in the conversation.
  • When you like or comment on a blog post, your comment, name, and profile photo are public, and you get a public pilot page showing your name, handle, photo, country, when you started flying, and what you have written on the blog.
  • You can remove your own comments at any time.

10. The Marketplace

The Marketplace lets pilots list aircraft and parts and contact each other.

  • HangarGrid is not a party to any sale. We do not sell, buy, inspect, hold, ship, or guarantee any item, and we do not process payments.
  • Buyers and sellers deal directly with each other and are responsible for the description, condition, price, payment, delivery, and any legal requirements of the sale.
  • Passport records attached to a listing are entered by the seller and are not verified by us. Inspect items before you pay.
  • Sellers must describe items honestly, including known damage, crashes, and repairs, and must have the right to sell them.
  • Do not list anything illegal, stolen, or dangerous to ship, and do not use the Marketplace for anything other than genuine RC aircraft, parts, and related equipment.

11. Acceptable Use

When using HangarGrid, you agree not to:

  • Harass, threaten, abuse, or impersonate anyone.
  • Post spam, scams, misleading listings, or unsolicited advertising.
  • Upload unlawful, obscene, hateful, or infringing material, or another person's private information.
  • Attempt to access other users' accounts or private records, or bypass any security or access control.
  • Scrape, copy, or harvest data from the Services in bulk, or use automated means to create accounts or send messages.
  • Interfere with the operation of the Services, including by introducing malware or placing an unreasonable load on them.
  • Use the Services for any unlawful purpose.

12. Reports and Moderation

You can report listings, comments, and pilots using Report. We review reports and may remove content, restrict features, or suspend accounts that break these Terms or the law. Where reasonable, we will tell you what was removed and why.

We are not obliged to monitor content, and we are not responsible for content posted by other users.

13. Third-Party Services

HangarGrid relies on third-party services, such as hosting, database, email delivery, weather, place search, and maps, as described in the Privacy Policy. Links to manufacturers and other websites are provided for convenience. We are not responsible for third-party services or websites, which have their own terms.

14. HangarGrid's Own Material

The HangarGrid name, logo, design, software, and original text belong to us. You may not copy, modify, or reuse them, except to share links to HangarGrid or your own passports and listings.

15. Feedback

If you send us ideas or suggestions, we may use them to improve HangarGrid without any obligation to you.

16. Availability and Your Records

We work to keep HangarGrid available and your records safe, with regular database backups. However, the Services are provided "as is" and "as available," and we cannot promise they will always be available, uninterrupted, or error-free.

We recommend exporting your records from Settings from time to time, and keeping copies of important aircraft and maintenance information.

17. Disclaimers

To the extent permitted by applicable law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and non-infringement. In particular, we make no warranty about the airworthiness or safety of any aircraft, the accuracy of catalogue or weather information, or any item or user in the Marketplace.

18. Limitation of Liability

To the extent permitted by applicable law:

  • We are not liable for any damage to aircraft, property, or persons arising from flying, building, maintaining, buying, or selling model aircraft, including where you relied on information in HangarGrid.
  • We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential losses, or for loss of profits, data, or goodwill.
  • Our total liability for any claim relating to the Services is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim and ₹1,000.

Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.

19. Indemnity

You agree to compensate us for reasonable losses and costs arising from your breach of these Terms, Your Content, or your dealings with other users, including Marketplace transactions, to the extent permitted by law.

20. Ending Your Use

You can stop using HangarGrid at any time, and you can delete your account yourself from Settings. Deleting your account removes your records as described in the Privacy Policy.

We may suspend or close an account that breaks these Terms or the law, or to protect other users or the Services. Where reasonable, we will give notice and a chance to export your records first.

21. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms as HangarGrid develops. We will post the new version here with a new "Last Updated" date, and we will tell you by email or in the app before significant changes take effect. Continuing to use HangarGrid after changes take effect means you accept them.

22. Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. We encourage you to contact us first so we can try to resolve any concern informally. Subject to that, the courts at New Delhi, India, have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute relating to these Terms or the Services.

23. Grievance Officer

In accordance with the Information Technology Act, 2000 and the rules made under it, complaints about content or the Services can be sent to our Grievance Officer:

Grievance Officer: Karan Dubey
Email: compliance@hangargrid.com

We will acknowledge complaints within 24 hours and aim to resolve them within 15 days, or within any shorter period required by law.
